Anthony has worked in CHT's therapeutic communities for over 10 years. He started as a student social worker in 2010 and became the Service Manager at Highams Lodge from 2015 to 2020. In 2020, Anthony joined CHT's Senior Management Team and became Head of Social Work and Safeguarding Lead in 2022.

Anthony's academic background is in sociology and ethnography, with particular research focus on how race, class, and gender differences are influenced by urban geography. Those academic interests have continued and developed with CHT in therapeutic communities and psychoanalysis. Recently, Anthony qualified as a Family Therapy Practitioner, which allows him to incorporate a systemic perspective into his social work at CHT.

Anthony's passions are the philosophy of research, social justice, learning from history, our shared environment, patterns of inclusion/exclusion, and understanding and improving the way systems work.

What does Anthony love most about his role? An ethnographer at heart, Anthony tends towards the observer position and enjoys listening and working with people to understand and improve how systems work.
